It’s a double whammy – a notice in a bookshop (of all places) aimed at children (of all people):

Childrens Reading Area

That should, of course, be:

Children’s Reading Area

Did I a retrieve a pen from my bag, take a swift look around to make sure no one was looking, and insert the missing apostrophe in the interests of small readers everywhere?

I couldn’t possibly say.
