Pouring over Einstein’s brain
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Look at this from September's issue of the BBC science magazine Focus:
In the six decades since his death, neurologists have poured over his (Einstein's) brain in the hope of discovering the biological basis for his talent.
I think the writer should pore over his dictionary a bit more.
Pour or pore?
Look at this extract from reader’s letter published in Sainsbury’s Magazine a while back:
This (i.e. waiting in the car for her children) would normally be a thankless task, but for the companionship of the magazine, which I pour over.
