Technical stuff – part 10: interjections

These are simply words or phrases used on their own such as:

  • Oops!
  • Ouch!
  • Ah!
  • Oh dear!
  • Fantastic!
  • Damn!

These words and phrases are also ‘exclamations’ and so correctly take an exclamation mark. Find out more about verbs, nouns and adjectives
